Elegant Bedroom Makeover

Sometimes our customers just want a make-over. No rebuilding of walls or complex, reconfiguring of rooms. We helped this customer create a beautiful, welcoming, and tranquil master bedroom. Our furniture and interior design team worked closely with the customer resulting in a functional yet peaceful space, a retreat for the end of the day.

DESIGN SOLUTION

We changed the layout of the room to maximise storage space and designed break-fronted wardrobes with well-proportioned four panelled doors across the entire wall. The wardrobes were finished in Purbeck Stone by Farrow and Ball. We handmade the king-sized bed and added luxurious touches such as the beautiful headboard, finished in a gorgeous soft, textured linen in Bulldog from De Le Cuona with a diamond pattern studded with covered buttons. To add to the glamour of the room we placed bed mirrors either side above our oak mitred bedside tables SD55 BS, which were finished in Farrow and Ball paint in Studio Green 93 providing a bold splash of colour. The Lincoln T-bar handles in satin nickel finish, were matched with the wardrobe handles lending a sophisticated look to the finished design. With the help of our interior designer, our customer chose statement lighting, Fitzgerald from Porto Romana providing a practical and elegant look.

FURTHER DETAILS

To create extra storage, suit the customer’s needs and optimise the space available we designed a narrower depth wardrobe with pigeonholes, perfect for storing and to provide easy access to folded items, shoes and bags. We added a stylish ottoman, upholstered in Bulldog from De Le Cuona to match the bedhead and made to fit the proportions of the room. Adding seating was practical, as the ottoman also includes a slated timber shelf for occasional storage of shoes and other items and also provides a place to sit and read. It also has the benefit of bringing a notable design element to this gorgeous room. To finish off this ultra-luxurious style of the room we piled on the pillows and throws in Vienna Velvet from De Le Cuona and Arbour by James Hare. We never underestimate the power of paint and we helped our customer to choose Ammonite by Farrow and Ball for the walls, Wevet by Farrow and Ball for the ceiling, architrave, skirting boards, and coving.
