Kitchen featured in Country Homes magazine

We were delighted to see our dark wood kitchen featured in the March 2020 issue of Country Homes magazine.

The Country Homes feature written by interiors expert Linda Clayton,  highlights the return in popularity of dark wood used in the kitchen, a trend we’ve certainly noticed grow in popularity. The kitchen featured is on display in our Ilkley showroom and shows the mellow richness this look gives.

The island is handcrafted in walnut and the wall cabinetry is painted in Farrow & Ball #mahogany. The handles are antique copper from Armac Martin with a Super White Quartzite worktop on the island.

This dark wood style works really well for a whole kitchen, but also used for touches of sophistication, a dark wood island or cabinet interiors for example.

Made from solid oak using the true end grain making it far stronger and used for true chopping / butcher blocks. An end grain board generally prohibits the blade from sinking into the wood, producing a dulling effect.
